Jonny Pearce affectionately known as JP to most people, passed away on the 25th November 2018, after a 4 year battle with Brain cancer. Jonny always said, that if any money was raised by anyone in his name, he wanted it to go to the Brain Tumour Charity, so that they could use it to go towards research into finding a cure for such a horrible disease, and hopefully help others who might be unfortunate to suffer the same illness as Jonny.

Jonny was a qualified PGA golf professional and enjoyed nothing better than being on the golf course, playing or coaching others. He had a talent for coaching youngsters and became very proud to see most of them progress from mere beginners, through to low handicap players. 😊

As part of his legacy, his family want to organise an event that they knew would be dear to Jonny’s heart, hence the golf day which started in 2019, and with your support it will continue to be run every year thereafter. People who knew Jonny, have all been so generous with their time and resources to help make the golf day a success, we are sure he would be very pleased with the results so far, so a big thank you from the whole family.

In addition to supporting the Brain Tumour charity, the family also want to include the East Cheshire Hospice in all future fund raising activities, in recognition of the fantastic help and support they gave Jonny during the last few weeks he was with us.

We all hope you enjoy the day, and that you have a successful game and a lot of fun, that’s what we all know Jonny would have wanted. Smile and be happy.
